Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate irregularities of a lens array by controlling a light source in relation to a method for correcting a luminance of an optical printing head and to an optical printing head with a memory having correction values written therein. SOLUTION: In correcting the luminance of the optical printing head constituted by arranging an imaging lens above many light emitting elements aligned in a line, the correction value is selected to make uniform a beam diameter of each light emitting element in a main scanning direction and a sub scanning direction of the light emitting element of the optical printing head at a specific slice level.
