Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially oriented laminated polyester film excellent in blocking resistance, winding properties and processability and a magnetic recording medium using the same. SOLUTION: The biaxially oriented laminated polyester film is constituted by stacking a polyester layer B on one side of a polyester layer A. In the film, (1) the surface roughness (WRaA) of the surface of the polyester layer A which is not adjacent to the polyester layer B is in the range of 1-10 nm, while the surface roughness (WRaB) and the 10-point average roughness (WRzB) of the surface of the polyester layer B which is not adjacent to the polyester layer A are in the ranges of 5-20 nm and 50-300 nm respectively, and (2) a water dispersible polyester resin and a primer layer are provided on the surface of the polyester layer A not adjacent to the polyester layer B and/or on the surface of the polyester layer B not adjacent to the polyester layer A.
