Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reconcile the control of hunting phenomena by the idling revolution feedback control at idling, load ripples of an alternator, and at maintenance of battery charge. SOLUTION: This alternator controller is equipped with a generated current regulating means 10j, which regulates the current generated by the alternator by the maximal generated current being set according to the number of revolutions of an engine, and for the generated current regulating means 10j, the maximal generated current is set smaller at low revolutions within an idle revolution range, where idle revolution feedback control is conducted than that at high revolutions. Accordingly, since the maximal generated current is set smaller at low revolutions within the idle revolution range, the use of alternator properties where the torque change of the alternator to the revolution change of an engine becomes large is limited, and the occurrence of hunting phenomena can be suppressed. Moreover, at high revolutions within the idle revolution range, the maximal generated current is set large, so the power generated by the alternator is raised, and this can maintain the battery charge capacity.
