CIRCUIT MULTIPLEXING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To break a partial circuit in safety without breaking any other circuit erroneously. SOLUTION: When a temporarily connected physical circuit is deleted from the circuit mutiplexer of its own station in a circuit multiplexing system, the system control section 4 in the circuit mutiplexer 1 of its own station designates a circuit mutiplexing section 2 to delete a physical channel by specifying a physical channel number. The circuit mutiplexing section transmits a stuffing frame to a designated physical channel and a system control section delivers address information corresponding to the physical channel number designated to delete to a circuit mutiplexer 1b of the opposite station. The channel management section 6 of the circuit mutiplexer designates the circuit mutiplexing section to delete the physical channel determined in correspondence with the address information. The circuit mutiplexing section transmits a stuffing frame to the designated physical channel and the circuit mutiplexer of its own station breaks a circuit interface corresponding to that physical channel upon receiving an acknowledgement of the physical channel being deleted from the circuit mutiplexer of the opposite station.
