Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an unsaturated alicyclic-aliphatic isocyanate in high yield from the corresponding unsaturated alicyclic-aliphatic amine as the starting material while retaining the unsaturated bond. SOLUTION: The method for producing the unsaturated alicyclic-aliphatic isocyanate, i.e., bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ene-5-methyl isocyanate, comprises the steps of reacting hydrogen chloride with bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ene-5-methylamine in the presence of an inert organic solvent to prepare bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ene-5- methylamine hydrochloride and then reacting phosgene with said hydrochloride.
