SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method and device for controlling braking pressure on the wheel brake 9 in a brake device comprising a pressure generator 4 for generating target pressure Psoll set by a control, an inlet valve 5 for allowing the flow of a brake liquid into the wheel brake 9, and a pressure limiting valve 3 for limiting the braking pressure to a settable threshold value.
