Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-ferrous molten metal holding furnace having a longer life of a heating unit as compared with the conventional one and low running cost. SOLUTION: In this non-ferrous molten metal holding furnace, an inner container 4 is mounted from above an outer container 6 to constitute a holding container 1, and the inner container 4 is constructed from the outside by the heating unit 7 and the outer container 6 to bear the external pressure load of molten metal 3 so that the inner container 4 is not broken by external pressure load of the molten metal 3 in the inner container 4 in the outer container 6 surrounding the inner wall with heat insulating material to keep warm the heating unit 7 interposed in contact with the outer wall of the inner container 4 and the periphery of the heating unit 7.
