Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of removing a component which is an impurity contained in a fluorine-containing ethylene compound and inhibits hydrosilylation reaction with a platinum-based catalyst, exhibiting a high removal efficiency, having no specific problem in treating a byproduct, and also improving an yield of an addition reaction product in the hydrosilylation reaction. SOLUTION: This method for purifying the ethylene compound having a fluorine-containing organic group is provided by effecting a compound selected from a group consisting of a metal hydride compound and metal hydride complex compound to an ethylene compound expressed by general formula: Rf(CH =CH2)n[wherein, Rf is a mono- or di-valent fluorine-containing organic group; and (n) is 1 or 2 integer equivalent to the valence number of the Rf].
