Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a method for concentrating a virus and to provide the method for concentrating the virus with which a plurality of specimens can simultaneously and simply be treated to easily respond to even automation without adversely affecting tests on nucleic acid amplification, a reagent for concentrating the virus and a method for detecting the virus. SOLUTION: The method for concentrating the virus comprises the following steps. (A) a step of bringing a sample having the possibility of containing the virus in the presence of an antibody against a surface antigen of a target virus into contact with particles having cationic groups on the particle surfaces and making the virus stick to the particles and (B) a step of separating and collecting the particles to which the virus sticks from the sample.
