OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING AND REPRODUCING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent stop of a recording operation caused during passing of a defective part and after passing through the defective part. SOLUTION: The optical information recording and reproducing apparatus of this invention is provided with a defect detection section and a switch section, and the switch section interrupts input of an abnormal jump detection signal to a recording and reproducing signal switching circuit for a time while a light spot detects a defective part and for a prescribed time after passing through the defective part. This prevents stop of recording operation due to wrong detection of an abnormal jump caused during passing of a defective part and after passing through the defective part so as to prevent the operation rate of the recording and reproducing apparatus from being deteriorated.
