METHOD FOR PERFORMING CRITICAL TASK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a system and an application even when the condition of a process is not known. SOLUTION: When the condition of a processor to be used for performing a critical task is not know, the critical task is performed by using speculative processing (a step 310). In parallel, the condition of the processor is determined (a step 330). When the condition is as expected, a first result obtained by a step for performing the critical task is transmitted (a step 380). When the condition is not as expected, the condition is fixed to be as expected under the consideration that the first result benignly fails (a step 340). Then, the critical task is re-performed by using the processing (a step 310), and a second result obtained by re-performing the critical task is transmitted (a step 380). COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
