ADAPTOR TERMINAL OF SHEATHED THERMOCOUPLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptor terminal of a sheathed thermocouple which is superior in insulation property, easily assembled, and easily secures reliability at assembly. SOLUTION: The adaptor terminal of the sheathed thermocouple has a case 1 made of plastic assembled by a pair of halves 2 and 3 in the forms of halved cylinders, the sheathed thermocouple 4, and a cable 5. The end of the sheathed thermocouple 4 is inserted in the case 1 from an insertion opening at one end of the case 1 and is prevented from coming off by a metal sleeve 13 caulked into a noncircular shape, and thermocouple wires 12 and 12 are guided to the outside from the tip of the sheathed thermocouple 4. The end of the cable 5 is inserted in the case 1 from an insertion opening at the other end of the case 1 made of recessed parts 17 and 23 each formed at the other ends of the halves 2 and 3, and conductive wires 15 and 15 guided to the outside from the tip of the cable 5 are connected to the thermocouple wires 12 and 12 in the case 1. A sealing resin is injected and set in the case 1, and the inside of the case 1 is airtightly sealed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
