OPTICAL SIGHTING DEVICE FOR SURVEY MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate recognition of the center position of a target, in an optical sighting device installed in a total station or the like. SOLUTION: Four target patterns 41 having the same shape and the same size are formed on the target 40 mounted at one end of this cylindrical optical sighting device. Each target pattern 41 has a center position indication part 41A and a center direction indication part 41B. The indication part 41A is formed of a nearly acute isosceles triangle. The indication part 41B linearly extends from the base of the indication part 41A toward the circumferential edge of the target 40 in accordance with the center axis of the indication part 41A. Each tip of the indication parts 41A is separated by a predetermined distance from the center of the target 40. The intersecting point of the extension lines formed by extending the center axes of the target patterns 41 from the tips of the indication parts 41A coincides with the center of the target 40.
