VARIABLE DISPLACEMENT COMPRESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of seizure and abrasion at a sliding part between a swash ring rotating at high speed and a shoe. SOLUTION: This variable displacement compressor adjusts a pressure in a crankcase 2 to change a piston stroke. This variable displacement compressor comprises a rocking plate 16 and a rotation preventing mechanism 19 of the rocking plate. The rocking plate 16 abuts against the swash ring 13 via a thrust bearing 15a and a needle bearing 15b, and is mounted to the swash ring 13 by means of a ring-like stopper 17 arranged to one end side of the needle bearing 15b and slidable in a peripheral direction, and a snap ring 18 abutting against the ring-like stopper 17.
