Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording sheet which is excellent in glossiness and ink absorbency, can improve image preserving properties such as light resistance and water resistance, and has enough coating film strength. SOLUTION: In the ink-jet recording sheet 1 at least 50% in 60 degree specular gloss defined by JIS Z8741 in which an ink absorbing layer 3 is formed on a support 2, a gloss developing layer 4 is formed by applying a coating containing a water-soluble zirconium salt on the ink absorbing layer 3 and drying the coating. The coating contains, in the total solid content, at least 10 wt.% of the zirconium salt in terms of the weight of ZrO2and does not contain a binder resin, or contains the binder resin in an amount of not exceeding the content of the zirconium salt in terms of the weight of ZrO2.
