MONITORING DEVICE AND MONITORING METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR INFORMATION PROCESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device and a monitoring method and program for an information processor that can set a monitored item and an upper limit and lower limit of a threshold thereof even in the absence of knowledge of system management, and select a monitored item and decide a threshold in conformance to specific conditions of each information processor such as the configuration and available service use status of the information processor, and can detect a conventionally undetected abnormal state under a situation with a low load on and no failure in the information processor. SOLUTION: The monitoring device 1 statistically selects a monitored item from among resource items in an information processor 2, and statistically decides an upper limit and lower limit of a threshold allowable for the monitored item. Whether the state of the information processor 2 is normal or abnormal is determined according to whether the value of the monitored item during normal operation of the information processor 2 is in the range of the threshold.
