Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a silver halide emulsion with high sensitivity, high resolution (high contrast) and little fog, and in particular, to provide a method for manufacturing a silver halide emulsion with high sensitivity, high printing durability and high resolution suitable for a lithographic printing plate for scanning exposure. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a silver halide emulsion is characterized in that a solution containing a sensitizing dye together with polyhydroxybenzene or its substituted derivative is added to the silver halide emulsion.
