Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quicker and high-accuracy substance measuring method, based on biological affinity. SOLUTION: In the method, at least four discontinuous liquid flow phases composed of two water-absorbing substrates arranged so as to face by keeping a definite interval are prepared; (a) a test sample is brought into contact with each discontinuous liquid flow phase on one water-absorbing substrate at one discontinuous liquid flow phase; (b) a solution, containing a labeling substance Y capable of being specifically bonded to a measuring object substance X, is brought into contact with each discontinuous liquid flow phase on one water-absorbing substrate at the other discontinuous liquid flow phase; and (c) a stationary phase formed by immobilizing a substance Z, capable of being specifically bonded to the substance X, is brought into contact with each discontinuous liquid flow phase on the water-absorbing substrate by adding a cleaning fluid to one water-absorbing substrate at the other discontinuous liquid flow phases other than them in the order of (1) the discontinuous liquid flow phase under (a), (2) one or two or more discontinuous liquid flow phases under (c), (3) the discontinuous liquid flow phase under (b) and (4) one or two or more discontinuous liquid flow phases under (c) so as to cross-link the two water-absorbing substrates. A labeling amount, captured on the stationary phase, is measured. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
