Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an identification device and an identifying method which can easily supply magnetized values to a plurality of magnetic particles and can easily identify magnetic particles. SOLUTION: The identifying device includes a magnetizing means 4, which magnetizes the plurality of magnetic particles 1 so as to supply prescribed magnetized values to these magnetic particles 1, and an identifying means 5, which detects the magnetized values of the magnetic particles 1 being magnetized and identifies the magnetic particles 1, based on the magnetized values. The identifying method includes a preparing process, in which the plurality of magnetic particles 1 are prepared, a magnetizing process in which each of the magnetic particles 1 is magnetized so as to supply the prescribed magnetized values to the magnetic particles 1, respectively, and an identifying process, in which the magnetized values of the magnetic particles 1 being magnetized are detected and in which the magnetic particles 1 are identified based on the magnetized values.
