Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink for ink-jet recording which does not cause corrosion of metals inside ink-jet heads and an ink-jet recording process. SOLUTION: The aqueous ink for ink-jet recording is used in an ink-jet recording apparatus wherein a metal is used in its ink-jet head. The aqueous ink has a current density of ≤100 μA/cm2within a potential range of from -600 to +300 mV as measured via anodic polarization employing silver/silver chloride as a reference electrode, platinum as a counter electrode and the metal used in the ink-jet head as a work electrode.
