PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize improvement of a cooked rice insulating capability and restrain excessive power consumption and inconsistency in rice cooking performance by making a temperature distribution in the side of a pot uniform in a rice cooker cooking rice in a pan removably stored in a rice cooker body. SOLUTION: The pot 3 is removably stored in the rice cooker body 1, an opening in the top face of the rice cooker body 1 is openably covered with a lid 6, the underside of the lid 6 is formed of a lid heating plate 7. In the pot 3, its side is heated by a pot side heating coil 5, the lid heating plate 7 is heated by a lid heating coil 8, and the space between the side of the pot 3 and the pot side heating coil 5 is made uneven.
