METHOD OF PROTECTING DISPLAY FROM EARTHQUAKE AND STORING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a display table which gives a user a secured feeling by taking a measure against an earthquake. SOLUTION: An earthquake detecting device 52, a rotary solenoid 14 shown in the figure 2, a driving device 12, a display placing table 10, a shock absorbing material 18 located below the display placing table 10, and a moving speed adjusting belt 20 to adjust the moving speed of a display are placed. When the earthquake detecting device 52 detects an earthquake, the signal activates the rotary solenoid 14, and the display starts moving by its own weight on the activation of a driving device 12. The display moves quickly below the surface of the display table 28 before the display falls. The display reduces the moving speed gradually by a plurality of levels of the moving speed adjusting belts 20 located in a protecting bag 22 and is secured stably in a final storage space. As a result, the display is protected certainly, and a method which allows a user to exhibit the valuable display without anxiety is provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
