GRID ARRAY ANTENNA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grid array antenna capable of extending a frequency band wherein the VSWR is excellent and being applicable to broadband applications. SOLUTION: An insulation layer 3 with a dielectric constant r=1 and a height=0.086λ12.45is provided onto an earthing plate 2 made of a conductor, and a plurality of grids having a long side 10 with the length L=1.043λ12.45and a short side 11 with the length S=0.521λ12.45are configured by linear conductors 4 with a radius ρ=0.0029λ12.45, for example. Then the conductor width Wgd of the short side 11 is formed wider as e.g. 0.2λ12.45than the width 2ρ=0.0058λ12.45of the long side 10 of the grids configured by the linear conductors 4. Further, a feeding pin 5 is connected from a coaxial feeding point F of the earthing plate 2 to a connecting point F' of the linear conductors 4 to configure a feeding section.
