Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a leak current caused by a damaged part of a capacitor element from increasing during a production process of a solid electrolytic capacitor. SOLUTION: The method for producing a solid electrolytic capacitor comprises a step for forming a dielectric film 12 on the surface of an anode body 11 formed of a valve metal, a step for forming a cathode layer 3 of a conductive polymer compound on the dielectric film 12, a step for forming a cathode terminal lead-out layer 4 on the cathode layer 3, a step for bonding an anode terminal 7 and a cathode terminal 8 to an anode body lead 5 projecting from the anode body 11 while being buried partially therein and the cathode terminal lead-out layer 4, and a step for covering the entirety with a resin mold 6 while exposing the forward end side of both terminals 7 and 8. Between the step for bonding an anode terminal 7 and a cathode terminal 8 and the step for coating with the resin mold 6, a damaged part 9 of the dielectric film 12 generated during that step is permeated with a repairing agent 91 exhibiting excellent insulation and insulated.
