Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for solving both the problems wherein it has been difficult to estimate the source of air pollutants even through the use of both the speedy computation of the state of diffusion of the air pollutants discharged into the atmosphere and an atmospheric environmental simulation system and estimating the location of a discharge source as a pollution source and the amount of discharge. SOLUTION: A model suitable for simulation is selected from input conditions, such as atmospheric conditions, meteorological data, and topographical data on the evaluation range of the diffusion of the air pollutants. From the input conditions, adjusted input parameters are inputted from data on measured values in a database part for improving analytical precision. Input data is created from both the analysis conditions by the model and the selected adjusted input parameters to conduct simulation. The deviation between the result of the simulation and data on measured values of the discharge source is computed. By estimating the discharge source which corresponds to the data in which the deviation is minimum, the problem can be solved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
