SOLUTION: This water heater is characterized in that an opening 10 communicated with an outside air is made in an upper part of a tank 1 storing water W, a water supply pipe 5 and a hot water supply pipe 7 are projected to the outside of the tank 1 respectively, a heat transmission pipe 3 is interposed between the water supply pipe 5 and the hot water supply pipe 7, and the heat transmission pipe 3 and an electric heater 2 are dipped in the water W in the tank 1.
