Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition for improving weather resistance of the substrate made of synthetic wood without detriment to an excellent material feeling, such as an inherent woody feeling when applied to a molded synthetic wood. SOLUTION: This coating composition contains (A) at least one modified olefin polymer selected from the group consisting of an unsaturated carboxylic acid-graft modified olefin polymer, chlorinated polyness thereof, and acrylic polymers modified with the chlorinated products, (B) a clear weather-resistant pigment, and (C) an organic solvent and may further contain (D) an ultraviolet absorber and (E) a light stabilizer. Preferably, modified olefin polymer A is an unsaturated carboxylic acid-graft modification product of at least one olefin polymer selected from the group consisting of propylene polymers, ethylene/ propylene/diene terpolymers, and ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymers or is a chlorination product of the modification product or an acrylic polymer modified with the chlorination product.
