APPARATUS FOR CUTTING GATE OF MOLDED ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for cutting gates of a molded article by which a multi-point gate parts of a molded material molded by being provided with the multi-point gate parts can be appropriately cut. SOLUTION: After the molding material 4 is positioned and placed on the top face of a receiving seat 10, a presser foot 13 for the molding material is lowered by a driving source 14 for the presser foot for the molding material to press the molding material 4 on the receiving seat 10 by the underside so as to be immobilized. Then, a cutting blade driving source 12 comprising a servo motor is driven to cut two gate parts 3 and 3 by two cutting blades 11 and 11 and during this cutting, two gate parts 3 and 3 are respectively pressed by each of wedge-like inclined faces 11A and 11A of the cutting blades 11 and 11 to plastically deform these gate parts 3 and 3 and to separate them from a ferrule 1.
