WEIGHT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR OBESE ANIMAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote comprehensive weight management in companion animals by suing a 1st stage pet food for promoting the weight reduction and a 2nd stage pet food for keeping the state of the reduced weight. SOLUTION: The 1st stage pet food includes, on a dry matter basis, about 35-about 70 wt.% proteins, about 4-10 wt.% fats, about 2-about 25 wt.% fibers, about 10-about 35 wt.% carbohydrates and about 0.1-about 2 wt.% functional components. The 2nd stage pet food includes, on a dry matter basis, about 20-about 35 wt.% proteins, about 4-10 wt.% fats, about 2-about 25 wt.% fibers, about 25-about 70 wt.% carbohydrates and about 0.1-about 2 wt.% functional components.
