Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rapid and simple method with very excellent operationality in comparison with a conventional hybridization method, for detecting a target nucleic acid, capable of detecting the existence of a target nucleic acid in a tested specimen, and a kit suitably used in the detecting method for detecting the target nucleic acid. SOLUTION: This method for detecting a target nucleic acid uses a detecting probe bonding to the nucleic acid, including processes for; (a) introducing a marker complex having the detecting probe and a signal reporter onto a water absorbing base material having a stationary phase into which the tested specimen is immobilized, (b) spreading out the marker complex on the base material under a stringent condition, and (c) detecting a signal from the signal reporter in a stationary phase. When the signal is detected in the stationary phase, the nucleic acid is determined to be included in the tested specimen. The kit for detecting the nucleic acid includes the base material and the marker complex. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
