Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rapid and simple method with excellent operationality for detecting a target nucleic acid, and a kit for detecting the target nucleic acid. SOLUTION: This method for detecting a target nucleic acid uses a detecting probe bonding to the nucleic acid and a capturing probe not bonding to the nucleic acid but bonding to the detecting probe, including processes for: (a) mixing a marker complex having the detecting probe and a signal reporter with a tested specimen, (b) introducing a mixture of the process (a) onto a water absorbing base material having a stationary phase into which the capturing probe is immobilized, and (c) spreading out the mixture on the base material under a stringent condition. When the signal is detected to be low in the stationary phase in comparison with a collation specimen not including the nucleic acid, the nucleic acid is determined to be included in the tested specimen. The kit for detecting the nucleic acid includes the marker complex and the base material having the stationary phase. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
