MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a camera main body part in the video incorporated type camera of a conventional example, and to efficiently dispose respective devices and to improve operability even when a surface area is reduced by miniaturization. SOLUTION: A magnetic recording and reproducing device is provided at least with a lens, a view finder, the camera main body part having an operation button group, and a grip part provided freely openably and closably or rotatably to the camera main body part and serving also as a battery housing part. The battery housing part is provided with a lock mechanism provided freely rotatably in a vertical direction through a rotary shaft on one side face to the camera main body part and held in a lock state at a set position. The camera main body part can be miniaturized so as to be conveniently carried. Also, since the battery housing part can be used as the grip part, even when the camera main body part is miniaturized, the respective devices are efficiently disposed and the operability is improved without violating restrictions in terms of design.
