Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling of a support structure body of an exhaust casing for a thermal engine. SOLUTION: In the exhaust casing 1 of the thermal engine, a radially outer casing wall 9 and a radially inner casing wall 10 disposed at a hub side are heat-insulated and are connected to each other through at least one support rib 3 fed with a cooling medium. The support rib 3 is provided with at least two passages 7, 8 for the cooling medium. At least one passage 7 is provided with a cooling medium feed part 6 and at least one passage 8 is provided with an exit 12 for the cooling medium. These cooling medium passages are communicated and connected through a guide passage 11 in a range of a radially inner end at the hub side. The cooling medium is guided to a range of the guide passage 11 disposed on a wall 10 at the hub side from an external pressure source 5 through the support rib 3 and is again returned to a collection passage 15 therefrom through the support rib 3. This collection passage is preferably opened to an annular passage 26 in order to cool an exhaust casing flange 24. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
