ELECTRIC GATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric gate which can prevent other persons from freely opening a gate even if a key is not provided, enables easy changes in opened and closed positions of the gate, enables the gate to be surely closed even if a failure occurs in operations of the gate, and enables the easy checking of operating conditions of the gate. SOLUTION: This electric gate for opening/closing the gate 1 by using a motor 10 is composed of a control device 20 which transmits control instructions for the gate to the motor 10 and a position detecting part 11 which detects a present position of the gate 1 as detected position data. The control device 20 is equipped with: a closed-gate state determining program 41 for determining whether or not the gate 1 is in a closed-gate state; and an opening-of-gate preventing program 36 for transmitting a gate closing instruction for closing the gate 1 to the motor 10, when it is determined that the gate 1 is in the closed-gate state in the program 41 and the variation of the detected position data of the detecting part 11 exceeds a prescribed value.
