COPOLYMERIC POLYBUTYLENE TEREPHTHALATE RESIN COMPOSITION AND FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a copolymeric polybutylene terephthalate resin composition which can replace paper or a polyvinyl chloride resin in the fields of Shoji paper (paper used for Japanese paper sliding door) surface decorative films, sheets, pressure-sensitive adhesive tape substrates, and the like, wherein paper or a polyvinyl chloride resin is mainly used so far, and which has excellent characteristics and does not generate a chlorine gas or a dioxin gas; and to prepare a film made thereof. SOLUTION: The resin composition contains (a) a copolymeric polybutylene terephthalate resin having a glass transition temperature (measured by a dynamic viscoelastic method) of 0°C-75°C, (b) an inorganic filler having an average particle size of 2 μm-25 μm, and (c) a condensed phosphoric ester plasticizer. Basing upon the weight of the composition, the contents of ingredients (b) and (c) are 3-35 wt.% and 5-40 wt.%, respectively. The composition is formed into a film. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
