SOLUTION: The new method for producing the cyclic tetrasaccharide comprises culturing a yeast having an ability for producing the cyclic tetrasaccharide having the structure of cycloä→6)-α-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)-α-D- glucopyranosyl-(1→6)-α-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)-α-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→} and belonging to the genus Saccharomyces in a nutrient medium to provide a cultured product with the produced cyclic tetrasaccharide, and collecting the cyclic saccharide from the cultured product.
