METHOD FOR CHANGING EXPERIMENTAL ANIMAL CAGE AND RACK TO BE USED THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for efficiently changing experimental animal cages and cleaning the cage and a method therefor. SOLUTION: The method for changing the experimental animal cages having bottom parts 31, lattices 32 and lids 38 comprises removing the clean bottom 31, the lattice 32 and the lid 38 from a first rack 20 holding the bottom part 31, the lattice 32 and the lid 38, assembling a clean cage from the bottom part 31, the lattice 32 and the lid 38, transferring an experimental animal from the stained cage to the clear assembled cage, disassembling the stained cage into each constituent component of the bottom part 31, the lattice 32 and the lid 38, placing the stained lattice 32 and lid 38 on a second rack, cleaning the stained lattice 2 and lid 38 while placing them on the second rack, removing a stained bedding material from the stained bottom part 31, cleaning the bottom part 31, placing the cleaned bedding material on the cleaned bottom part 31, placing the cleaned bottom part 31 having the cleaned bedding material on the second rack so as change the experimental animal cages.
