SERVER SYSTEM AND AUTHENTICATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method for guaranteeing the genuineness of a new object without depending upon a password, etc. SOLUTION: A server 100 receives a terminal ID inherent to each portable telephone set 300 transmitted from the portable telephone set 300 at a prescribed transmission interval T by relaying the terminal ID through a base station 200. The server 100 specifies the position (transmitting position) of the portable telephone set 300 being the transmission source of the received terminal ID on the basis of the base station 200 through which the terminal ID is relayed, and associates the terminal ID with a receiving time for storage in each terminal ID. The server 100 also judges whether there are a plurality of portable telephone sets 300 that transmit the terminal ID on the basis of the stored receiving time and the transmitting position in each terminal ID. If there are the plurality of portable telephone sets 300, the authenticity of each of the portable telephone sets 300 (whether to be 'authentic') is judged. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
