CLEANING DEVICE FOR IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the cleaning device for an image forming apparatus which smoothly distributes toner to cleaning blade ends and prevents a blade from curving inward. SOLUTION: The cleaning device for the photoreceptor of the image forming apparatus has the cleaning blade as the main cleaning means and a fur brush as a sub-cleaning means. The fur brush being the sub-cleaning means rotates in the same direction as the photoreceptor. In the cleaning device, attached bristle fibers formed as the fur brush are inclined to the axial direction of the brush. In particular, the ends of the fur brush are opposite to each other in direction in which the bristles are inclined. The leading ends of the bristle fibers are inclined inside in the axial direction of the portion to which the brush bristles are attached. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
