Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power control method for xerographic fixing apparatus which enables the fixation of a durable and clear picture. SOLUTION: The fixing apparatus for xerographic printing includes a fixing roller 12 with two parallel lamps, that is, heating elements 20, 22 therein. At power-up, power is applied to the respective lamps 20, 22 in a stair-step style in which incremental increases in applied power for the respective lamps 20, 22 are staggered in time.
