PROJECTOR DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector device which is made small-sized and has long lifetime and also has its heating value and power consumption reduced by increasing the convergence of light source light. SOLUTION: The projector device comprises a semiconductor laser 20 as an optical solid light source which emits a blue light of 405 nm in wavelength, an optical fiber 22 which has a core doped with a wavelength down-converting material converting an exciting light to blue, an optical fiber 23 having a core doped with a wavelength down-converting material converting the exciting light to green, an optical fiber 24 having a core doped with a wavelength down- converting material converting the exciting light to red, a codensing lens 26 and lens 30 for projection which guide lights emitted from the optical fibers 22, 23, and 24 to liquid crystal panels 27, 28 and 29, and the liquid crystal panels 27, 28 and 29, thereby performing processing for displaying an arbitrary image on a screen 31 by using the lights of red, blue and green emitted from the optical fibers 22, 23 and 24.
