FILM CAPACITOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film capacitor sufficiently satisfying all the three characteristics of 'safety', 'moisture resistance', and 'miniaturization'. SOLUTION: A film capacitor 1 comprises a film capacitor element 2, in which double-sided metal films 11 and plain films 12 are laminated or wound while being alternately overlapped, the metal film 11 having a metal 112 deposited on both sides of a polymer film 111, and a pair of external electrodes 3 which are disposed on both sides of the film capacitor element 2 and are brought into electrical conduction with the metal 112 which is deposited on both sides of the double-sided metal film 11. In the film capacitor 1, the polymer film 11 is made of polypropylene, the metal 112 is made of aluminum, and the plain film 12 is formed of a polyester film. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
