AIR DISINFECTING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disinfecting apparatus which removes fungi and bacteria in air by exposing air to strongly acidic water, can disinfect the air continuously and effectively, and can perfectly remove chlorine gas by neutralizing air-conditioned air after disinfection. SOLUTION: This disinfecting apparatus is equipped with: an acid water supply system 2 which makes the strongly acidic water flow down, so as to supply it; and an alkaline water supply system 3 which makes strongly alkaline water flow down, so as to supply it. The system 2 feeds the strongly acidic water stored in a first water tank 7 to a disinfecting unit 10 installed in an air feed passage 1 by means of a first pump 12, so that the air passing through the disinfecting unit 10 can be disinfected. In this case, the strongly acidic water is continuously made to flow down for supply in volume, so that the air can be brought into sure contact with the strongly acidic water and so that the deodorizing unit 10 can be cleaned with the strongly acidic water flowing down in volume, concurrently with the sure contact between the air and the strong acidic water. The system 3 feeds the strongly alkaline water stored in a second water tank 17 to a neutralizing unit 20, which is installed in the passage 1, by means of a second pump 22, so that the air after the disinfection can be neutralized for the removal of the chlorine gas in the air.
