Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a new fiber structure exhibiting excellent mass-productity in after-treatment, and having good bulkiness, light weight, and excellent warm and nap feeling. SOLUTION: A fabric composed of a sea-island type conjugate fiber comprising (A) a modified polyvinyl alcohol component containing 5-15 mol% ethylene unit and having 90-99.99 saponification degree as a sea component, and (B) a polyester as an island component is treated with an aqueous solution containing (C) a specific compound to swell and shrink the component (A) constituting the conjugate fiber, and the component (A) of the swelled and shrunk fiber is dissolved and removed in the method for producing the bulky fiber structure.
