Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rapid and efficient single molecule identification of a target DNA. SOLUTION: This relates to a single molecule identification for target DNA molecules in random coil states and comprises the step a) where an optically distinguishable material is bonded to the DNA sequence-recognizing unit, the step b) where the DNA sequence-recognizing unit is hybridized with the target DNA molecule in a random coil state whereby a hybridized DNA complex is formed in a coil state. At the step c), the hybridized DNA in a coil state is extended until the hybridized DNA complex becomes substantially linear and at the step d) the optically distinguishable materials arranged along the resultant linear hybridized DNA complex are detected continuously whereby the target DNA molecule is identified.
