SOLUTION: This taste improving agent for potassium-containing foods contains peas and/or their extract. The pea means a grain of an annual plant of the genus Pisum (Pism sativum), legume, and includes the grain itself and its processed products. The extract of the peas means any extract of the peas without limitation. As a method for the extraction of the peas, the method for the extraction of the peas with hot water, an organic solvent (e.g. ethanol) and the like are cited.
