Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of rapidly subjecting the resin surface of a resin coated glass bottle to treatment for hydrophilicity impartation without requiring costly facilities and without generating harmful ozone. SOLUTION: The surface of the resin coated glass bottle is irradiated with a burner flame of a high temperature for a short time in the state of the fresh bottle. The irradiation time of the burner flame is specified preferably to 0.1 to 10 seconds and the temperature of the burner flame to 1,300 to 2,000°C. The electrons, ions, functional groups, or the like, generated in the burner flame of the high temperature react with the resin surface and polarize the resin surface, by which the hydrophilic groups are formed on the resin surface. The contact angle of water therefore falls to ≤30° and there is no possibility of entailing erroneous decision by the built-up water drops. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
