Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arc fault detector not responding to step increases in a current by detecting the step increases in the current caused by a dimmer for a low temperature tungsten bulb generating high transient current when power is turned on. SOLUTION: The arc fault detector pursues pulse signals generated in response to the step increases in he current. If the pulse signals remain within the predetermined margin (between 1 and 3 in Fig. 1), the dimmer transient current is identified and generation of an arc signal is prevented.
