Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide amorphous glass for an optical fiber-fixing member which has low-temperature softening properties and a mean coefficient of linear expansion (α) and a well moderate mean coefficient of linear expansion for both of a quartz glass optical fiber and molds for precision press forming, has a high Young's modulus and excellent ray transmittance and is suitable for precision press forming, more particularly to provide the amorphous glass for the optical fiber-fixing member for an optical fiber array. SOLUTION: The amorphous glass is aluminoborosilicate glass and contains Li2O, MgO, ZnO, and ZrO2as essential components and its glass transition temperature (Tg) rangers from 500 to 600°C.
