POD TYPE PROPELLER AND VESSEL WITH THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pod type propeller capable of improving the propelling performance when sailing, and to provide a vessel with the same. SOLUTION: This pod type propeller is provided with a propeller, a pod part and a strut for supporting the pod part. The strut has a first edge part 26 extended along a second axis β and positioned on a side provided with the propeller, a second edge part 28 extended along the second axis β to pinch the second axis β between the first edge part 26, and a first and a second side surface parts 30 and 32 for connecting the first and the second edge parts 26 and 28 to each other. A cross section of the strut crossing the first predetermined range of the second axis β has a shape that a third shaft γ passing the first edge part 26 and the second edge part 28 is inclined at the predetermined angle θ1 against a first axis α with a view along the second axis β and that a distance from the first edge part 26 to the second edge part 28 on the first and the second side surface parts 30 and 32 is different from each other.
